Teacher Appreciation Week

Every year we at Loretto Catholic School celebrate our teachers during Teacher Appreciation Week. Teachers have been blessed by students and parents showing their appreciation in many ways.  This year the Girls Scouts provided cookies to our teachers and staff to show their appreciation.

Catholic Schools' Week

The last week of January is very special because it is our celebration of Catholic schools. On Sunday, we start off the week with a Mass followed by our Pancake breakfast and Art Showcase. Then throughout the week, we honor different supporters of Catholic schools, such parents, law enforcement agencies, students, teachers, and our clergy. It is a beautiful way to give thanks and commemorate all those who mean so much to us.

Dia del Niño

Our yearly Día del Niño (Children's Day) Carnival is a fun time for students to play games, spend time with family and friends, and eat delicious treats. During the pandemic, families and the fire department drove up to the school to celebrate all of our students as well as the birthday of one of our teachers! All students received cupcakes and treats from the faculty and staff.

Christmas Program

Towards the end of the year, students prepare songs, choreography, and lines to display the beauty of Christmas at our annual Christmas Program.

Red Ribbon Week

During this week created to honor Enrique "Kiki" Camarena, students are taught about the dangers of using drugs and the advantages of living healthy lives. Different local government agencies come in to speak to our students, and students respond by collecting canned foods, releasing biodegradable balloons, and dressing in different ways to advocate for healthy living.

Whether it is our week with the Missionaries from Franciscan University of Steubenville, our All Saint's Day Parade, or our STREAM Extravaganza day, students are able to learn, grow, and enjoy themselves.
